England took their winning streak to an impressive 16 games after a 16-21 victory in Cardiff this evening.
Elliot Daly went over in the 76th minute to give the visitors the lead and an Owen Farrell conversion ensured that Wales would have to find a try of their own in the last four minutes to claw back victory.
With Leigh Halfpenny kicking 11 points and Liam Williams scoring a first half try, the hosts seemed set to beat England and break their unbeaten record.
But with Farrell kicking 11 points of his own, and Ben Youngs having taken the lead for England when he went over in the 19th minute, gave England enough points on the board to stay within touching distance of the strong welsh fifteen.
Wales were probably the much better side in this game, and fly-half Dan Biggar was miles ahead of England's George Ford but essentially the away side's replacement's gave them the edge that was required for victory in this top quality test match.
England play Italy and Scotland in their next two games and will have strong hopes of making strong steps to back to back Grand Slam Championships and potentially a title decider against the Irish on the 18th March.
