Valterri Bottas is set to join Mercedes in 2017. |
The move from Williams has opened up a place for the return of Felipe Massa despite announcing his retirement from racing back in September.
Massa will join the Canadian youngster Lance Stroll who is only 18, in driving for Williams in 2017. Massa will re-join to fulfill the sponsorship agreement with Martini - who require at least one driver over the age of 25.
It's believed that Mercedes boss Toto Wolff sees Bottas as a like-for-like replacement for Rosberg as the team continues to support Lewis Hamilton as their superstar driver.
