Australia chased down 170 to win the first Ashes Test at Brisbane, winning clinically by 10 wickets.

David Warner (87*) and Cameron Bancroft (82*) completed their hard work from the previous evening, scoring the required 56 in just more than an hour in the final morning.
Just twice have England lost the first Ashes Test in Australia and gone on to win the series, making the day-night test at Adelaide key to the outcome of this series.
It was Bancroft, the centre of a headbutting storm involving Jonny Bairstow was the only man to offer any sort of a chance over the whole innings, edging past Alistair Cook.

He then went on to hit the winning runs as the hosts went 1-0 up, preserved their 29-year unbeaten record at the Gabba and marked the third anniversary of the death of Phil Hughes.
