Ben Stokes made available for England

The England and Wales Cricket Board have announced that Stokes' will be available for International cricket after being charged with Affray.

The all-rounder was involved in a fight outside a Bristol nightclub which lead to him being dropped from all England games since, including the 4-0 Ashes defeat.

Stokes will join the squad for the second part of a T20 Tri-series against Australia and New Zealand, before being in the squads for the two Tests and five ODI's against NZ.

An ECB statement on the issue read: "ECB fully respects the legal process and the player's intention to defend himself against the charge.

"England selectors, management and players have been informed and Ben Stokes is expected to join the squad in New Zealand for February's T20 matches."

They further said that "given the potential length of the trial", it would not be "fair, reasonable or proportionate for Ben Stokes to remain unavailable for a further indeterminate period".
