Kyle Edmund in Australian Open third round

Britain's only male single entry beat Denis Istomin in straight sets to move into the third round for the first time.

Edmund is flying the flag for male British tennis
at this year's Australian Open.
The British number two impressed from start to finish in a 6-2 6-2 6-4 victory, following the opening win over 11th seed Kevin Anderson on Monday.

Edmund will face world number 61 Nikoloz Basilashvili next, in a side of the draw that makes Kyle the second highest ranked player.

Istomin had to take a medical time out for treatment on his left foot but still didn't manage to force a single break point in the whole match.
