Barcelona out of the Champions League/ Man City make semi-final debut

Manchester City beat Paris St Germain and Barcelona lost to Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Quarter finals.

On tuesday night Manchester City beat PSG 3-2 on aggregate to reach their first ever UEFA Champions League semi-final, continuing as the last English side left in the competition.

The final four teams for the 2016 semi-final draw.
Kevin De Bruyne was the hero, scoring the only goal of the second leg as City made up for Sergio Aguero's missed first-half penalty.

But Joe Hart kept them in the game, making three outstanding saves whilst the score was at 0-0 to ensure his side would have the chance of an eventual victory.

The result marks a fourth consecutive season where PSG however have fallen at the last-eight stage.

Barcelona however, became another side to fail to retain the trophy, losing to Atletico Madrid 2-0 to go out of the competition despite a 2-1 victory at home.

Antonie Griezmann scored twice to send out the reigning champions, leaving them only with the possibility of doing the La Liga and Copa Del Rey double.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich beat Benfica and Real Madrid came through against Wolfsburg despite Wolfsburg holding a 2-0 lead from the first leg.
